Salam Alaikum

I highly regard your initiative. The e-journal should maintain international standard in design and content. Try making it interactive, inviting readerrs to post their comments right there on your website, uncensored by you. This is the norm of free discussion now. Since you are on the threshold of a major initiative let me hurl at you yet another piece of (unsolicited!) advice: Take into consideration what people can bear/absorb.We want results, not to show off that we have the correct diagnosis or the right medicine. You get results only when the patient trusts you, takes rthe medicine recommended by you. Do not alienate the patient by unnecessary pronouncements. Do not scare people by rejecing much of what they regard almost sacred. There is no benefit in playing the blame game. Blaming the west for all our ills is counterproductive besides being wrong. And what about blaming the ancestors, the SALAF? Supposing one agrees with you in blaming them for all that you recorded in your latest book, how does it solve the problems we face today? By all means make fresh ijtihad and offer new solutions even for old problems. But the physician who starts by denigrating all the others before him does not gain in credibility with the patient. I will rather focus on things positive, hopefully the dry leaves of the past will fall away as a new spring comes.Work for the future without looking back. The past may engage you like the old man in SINDBAD the sailor.

May Allah help us all!
